The Keys of Egypt

How to access the spiritual legacy of Egypt for your healing and growth

You might be wondering what Egypt has to do with spirituality. I might’ve thought the same thing before I started meditating. But after I developed a strong meditation practice and acquired a clear connection to my spirit guides, it became abundantly clear that Egypt was a core theme for me to explore in this life. And that’s true for a lot of us! That’s because Egypt represents a very important time in human history and a unique expression of human consciousness.

In short, Egypt developed a highly advanced spiritual system. Mystics of that period grounded a lot of spiritual science and truths that we are meant to rediscover at this time.

Day of the Dead

And how we can connect to those in the after-life

Like any good card-carrying mystic, the topic of ghosts and spirits is one of my favorites.

Who doesn’t like a good ghost story? They’re nearly always interesting. They’re also a great entry-point into broader spiritual considerations.

You might’ve noticed that experiences with spirits can seem almost like a “gateway drug” to a more spiritually-oriented life. For a lot of us, before we believed in the “other side,” we had some brush with the paranormal. Often, these experiences with ghosts or spirits in the house or other unexplained sightings may have been a seed for our later spiritual development. Our first clues as to the realm of the soul.

Cosmic Intuition

You can only discuss meditation and connecting with spirit guides so long without mentioning “cosmic guides.” That’s because many of us who’ve developed a consistent practice of sacred meditation have connected with spirit guides who appear as star guides or as inner guides who seem like they are from other parts of the cosmos.

The topic of star guides is admittedly a stretch for a lot of people. I remember when I was first discovering meditation in 2013, intellectually accepting the concept of God (that there was a benevolent higher intelligence responsible for all of creation) was already a leap. But after developing a strong meditation practice, a lot of us find that inner guides come forward and they’re not always from this planet, time or even this star system.

Healing & Intuition

Some of you may already know that healing is one of the primary “gifts of the spirit.” That’s what they’re called within Christianity. In the eastern traditions, spiritual gifts that come with prolonged meditation are called siddhis.

I have to agree with the ancients on this one! Divine healing is one hell of a miracle. It’s a bit of a mystery to try to explain but I’ll take a swing at it..

From my perspective, all of life (including illness) is organized in such a way that we will be asked to enter into higher and higher expressions of Truth and Divine Love.

What to expect when connecting with your guides

I thought now would be a good time to discuss some practical features of connection with spirit guides.

After a few weeks of sitting in meditation with just the simple goal of feeling peace all throughout your system and a sense of divine love, you may feel inspired to open and receive communication from your helpers in the spirit realm.

A lot of the meditation community call these helpers “spirit guides.” I’ll use that term for the sake of conversation. Just know that ultimately they are one with you on a soul level, and they have the task of assisting you from the immaterial, inner realms. In older paradigms, mystics would refer to guides as their “angels.” Also know that you have a primary guide, or a helper who is with you your whole life, and then you have a team of helpers that come in for specific times in your life.

Okay, that’s at least a starting point. I’ll be sure to share more about spirit guides in the future (because there are a lot of different types), but for now let’s continue on about what you can expect when connecting with your guides.

The Basics of Meditation

When I started meditating in 2013, the way forward wasn’t super clear.

I just knew I was onto something.

Now, 7 years into my practice, I’m so glad I went down this road. Meditation has been the single most important and rewarding aspect of my life since I began exploring it. Every year that I practice, the benefits to my general wellbeing and my sense of spiritual development seem only to increase. My experience on a daily basis is one of deep peace, grounded happiness and an organic mysticism.

When I started my practice back in 2013, I vacillated between different forms of meditation. Because, honestly, I had no idea where to start. I had a friend who gave me some general pointers, but mostly I was on my own. So, I basically tried a little bit of everything.
